Eagle 435140006200 Ford 408 stroker forged steel crankshaft.
Makes a 408 stroker based on the 351W engine with 6.200" or 6.250" connecting rods and a .030 overbore.
Internally balanced. 1900 bob weight.
Standard oiling design.
stroke: 4.0000 in.
rod journal: 2.100 in.
rod journal width: 1.900 in.
main journal: 3.000 in.
minimum rod length: 6.200 in.
typical weight: 59 lbs.
rear seal design: 2 pc
flywheel bolt holes: 6
snout diameter: 1.375 in.
RECOMMENDED BEARINGS----mains: MS1432H----rods: CB663H
TECH NOTE: The stock 351W stroke is 3.500 and the stock 351W bore is 4.000. Stock 351W rod length is 5.95.
TECH NOTE: Must use chamfered bearings. Recommned MS1432H main bearings and CB663H rod bearings.
INSTALLATION TECH NOTE: Will NOT work with AOD or AODE torque converters that have the "long snout design". Be sure to check this before ordering. If using an AOD transmission, this crankshaft will only work with "short snout" AOD or AODE converters.
Eagle ESP forged steel crankshafts feature a non-twist forging and undergo a multi-stage heat treatmnet process as well as stress relieving, shot peening, and nitriding. Magnafluxed and sonic tested to insure quality. Eagle micropolishes each journal to a 3 or better R.A. On every journal, a 0.125" radius is used to increase strength, so chamfered bearings must be used. Lightening holes in each rod throw for reduced weight.
The perfect choice for engines up to 1500 horsepower.
The Eagle 435140006200 408 stroker forged steel crankshaft makes it easier to build a reliable engine.
Ford 351W connecting rods by Eagle CRS6200B3D.
Use this rod set with the Eagle 435140006200 crankshaft shown above.
Measures 6.200" long.
Weight is 660 grams.
2.100" crank pin 0.927"
Piston pin 0.940 b.e. width.
Eagle ESP H-Beam connecting rods are forged from 4340 steel
Uses 7/16" ARP 8740 bolts with precision alignment sleeves that locate the rod cap to help maintain big end bore size and eliminate cap walk.
Packaged in a weight-matched set (+or- 1 gram).
Sizing is done on the state of the art Sunnen Krossgrinding system.
Multi-stage heat treated, magna-fluxed, and sonic tested.
Manufactured from a two-piece forging.
The forging process forces the grain into the shape of a connecting rod, resulting in a superior fatigue life.
The rod cap is forged separately so that the grain runs perpendicular to the load forces, which strengthens the rod.
Also, a higher content of nickel and chrome is used, which increases the strength and fatigue life without making the rod brittle.
Extensive testing has proven the Eagle two-piece forging to be superior to any one-piece forging on the market! Eagle
ESP connecting rods are the perfect choice for engines up to 750 horsepower.
Sold as a set of 8 Eagle ESP H-Beam connecting rods.
Clevite main bearings and rod bearings for Ford 408 stroker.
Use this bearing set with the Eagle 435140006200 crankshaft shown above.
Typical characteristics of H Series bearings: Medium level of eccentricity and high crush.
Enlarged chamfers for greater crankshaft fillet clearance.
Made without flash plating for better seating.
Use with crankshafts that have oversized fillets and with engines that run mid-high RPM ranges.
Contact patterns should ideally cover 2/3 to 3/4 of the bearing surface.
Clevite M1432H-standard main bearings.
Clevite CB663H-standard rod bearings.
