Ford FE Big Block Harmonic Damper

Professional Products 80009 PowerForce harmonic damper balancer.

Fits Ford FE big block 427 428 390 engines.

This damper is identical dimensionally to the damper originally used on the high performance 427.

The 427's stock damper had an integral single groove pulley.

This damper includes this pulley and although this damper is 7.5" in diameter, it can be used on any FE engine including those that had a stock 7" damper.

Designed to allow the removal of the stock single groove pulley, and your multiple groove pulleys can bolt directly to it.

An adapter spacer is included with the damper to allow proper belt alignment.

Comes with a universal timing pointer to suit the larger 7.5" diameter damper and the pointer will bolt to either of the two different bolt patterns Ford used for timing pointers.

TECH NOTE: This damper, as assembled in the box, is set up for FE engines using one accessory pulley. This damper is basically the same as the 7.5" diameter high performance model used on 427 FE engines. (#C4AE-6316-E) Engines other than the high performance 427 use a smaller diameter 7" damper. However, this larger damper can be used on those engines. This damper has a single bolt-on pulley that is identical to the 427 and if your engine only has one accessory drive belt, you can use the damper as is. However, if you want to run your stock pulleys on this damper, remove the existing pulley using a 6mm hex wrench. Place the supplied aluminum spacer over the pilot on the damper and bolt your pulley in place using the stock bolts. This damper has two sets of bolt holes to work with any of the various FE pulleys.

TECH NOTE: Included with this damper is a timing pointer that can be used in place of the stock pointer that is normally used for 7" dampers. This new pointer is set up to work with the larger 7.5" damper. This pointer has three holes in it. This is because FE engines had two different timing pointer mounting bolt patterns and this pointer will work with either one of them. Use your existing bolts to attach this pointer to the timing cover.
