The Edelbrock 1406 Performer carburetor is designed for small block engines with dual plane intake manifolds. Includes both timed and full vacuum ports for ignition advance. Includes installation instructions. The Edelbrock 1406 Perfomer carburetors are designed to withstand the rigors of daily driving while delivering consistent, reliable street performance. Metering rods are unaffected by engine backfires and can be changed in seconds for custom tuning without fuel spillage, fuel draining, or removing the carburetor from the manifold. No power valves to blow out. An all aluminum two piece body construction allows for no gaskets below the fuel level to prevent leakage. Jets, floats, needles, springs and metering rods can be changed without fuel spillage, with the carburetor installed on the engine. Edelbrock Performer carburetors "hold a tune" which means that, compared to other brands, when you tune the carburetor to your engine, it stays tuned and remains reliable and consistent. The outside of the carburetor body is ball burnished for a bright finish.
