The high flow air filter and ram tubing flow 775 cfm of air and will support up to 550 horsepower in a naturally aspirated engine with no measureable loss due to restriction. Filter has been tested on a SuperFlow 1200 FlowBench, the state-of-the-art of FlowBenches. As you can see, the filter used in this kit is rated at a much higher horsepower number than the engine of the listed application requires. Like speed rating on a tire, it's always better to have more, allowing you to modify the engine more down the road without having to replace the air intake.

This C.A.R.B. approved, 50 state legal, cold air intake is designed with a more open air box area, allowing additional cold air to enter and circulate - and cold air equals more power. A cylinder shaped filter, which increases surface area thus allowing even more cold air into the system. The factory air intake ducting is replaced with a more direct and better looking polished aluminum air intake tube. The result is that your engine gets more cold air than any other kit can offer.
We all know that colder air equals more power, but how much of a difference is there? A huge amount ! Incoming air, heated by the radiator, engine, and exhaust can exceed temperatures of 200 degrees. For every 10 degrees reduction in incoming air temperature, the engine gains 1.4-2% in both torque and horsepower.
The introduction of fresh, cold air to the engine guarantees incredible power gains. For example, a well-tuned performance engine that normally makes 300 horsepower with a 200 degree inlet air temperature, will make 330 horsepower if the temperature is reduced to 140 degrees. This same engine will made 353 horsepower at 100 degrees inlet temperature. On a cool day, with incoming air at 60 degrees, this engine will make 381 horsepower (+27%).
